Job summary

Myers Park Country Club is reopening for banquets and events and seeks enthusiastic staff for morning and evening shifts. You will prepare salads and other cold items for breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, and special parties, interact with an award-winning team, and help ensure quality and presentation.

Experience in culinary prep is preferred; you will handle dressings, sandwiches, hors d’oeuvres, and safe handling of perishable ingredients in a fast-paced club environment.

Qualifications

• Prepares all salad items before each shift; washes and cuts lettuce, vegetables, fruits, meats, etc.
• Prepares salads and other cold items for functions and service.
• Prepares salad dressings.
• Slices and pre-portion cold cooked meat, fish, and poultry; garnishes them neatly.
• Prepares appetizers, hors d’oeuvres in a tasteful manner.
• Makes sandwiches according to club’s standard recipes.
• Cleans equipment and keeps pantry area clean and neat.
• Sets up, maintains and breaks down salad prep station.
• Covers, dates and stores reusable leftovers properly.
• Ensures food products are used before spoilage.
• Prepares and serves items per portion/presentation standards.
• Notifies Sous Chef of shortages.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily mise en place for salad prep and cold items.
• Prepare salads and cold items for breakfasts, luncheons and events.
• Prepare dressings and garnishes to standard recipes.
• Assist with plating of salads, appetizers, and sandwiches.
• Maintain cleanliness of prep areas and equipment.
• Coordinate with Garde Manger for shortages and stocks.
