Position Summary

Ruth's Chris Steak House, an institution for over 50 years, is renowned for The Sizzle. Our mission is to deliver the best steakhouse experience. Whether for a romantic dinner or a business meal, we aim for excellence.

Under the direction of the Executive Chef or Manager-on-Duty, the Pantry Cook prepares all cold food items, including salads, cold appetizers, and desserts. The role involves food preparation, cooking, and timing to meet our quality standards.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Demand for Excellence: Arrive on time, maintain proper uniform and hygiene, and ensure food quality and presentation meet standards.
  2. Passion for Hospitality: Promote teamwork and ensure high service levels, embodying The Sizzle in all interactions.
  3. Hunger to Grow: Restock pantry items and assist in food prep according to standards.
  4. Unwavering Commitment: Set up and stock the pantry station, communicate with team members, and report issues promptly.
  5. Desire to Win: Monitor stock levels, prepare food accurately, and ensure timely service, while adhering to safety guidelines.
Physical Demands
  • Lift at least 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, reach, and communicate effectively.
  • Work in extreme temperatures and noisy environments, and distinguish flavors and odors.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to perform measurements, multitask, work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Attention to detail, teamwork, effective communication, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Completion of restaurant training program and willingness to learn.
Preferred Skills/Abilities
  • SERV Safe Certification
  • At least one year of back-of-house kitchen experience
