Job summary

Waialae Country Club, a private member club in Hawaii, is seeking a Pantry Cook to join the Kitchen team. The role involves preparing a wide range of cold and hot dishes, ensuring quality and safety, and maintaining a clean workstation and proper food temperatures.

The successful candidate will have related kitchen experience, strong knife skills, and a solid understanding of culinary terminology. AM shifts including weekends and holidays are required; benefits are offered for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of related experience.
• Excellent knife skills.
• Familiarity with duties in all areas of the kitchen.
• Knowledge of culinary terminology and fundamentals of cooking.
• Formal culinary education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares fruits, vegetables, cold meats, seafood, dressings, cold sauces, mousses, cold soups, appetizers, salads, cereals, breads and desserts.
• Maintains established food quality standards and consistency of menu items.
• Sets up workstation, maintains cleanliness of work area, and monitors food temperatures.
• Adheres to state sanitation standards.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Position: Pantry Cook

Status: Full-Time (30+ hours per week); Part-Time (20-29 hours per week)

Department: Kitchen

Reports to: Sous Chef

Responsibilities:

• Prepares fruits, vegetables, cold meats, seafood, dressings, cold sauces, mousses, cold soups, appetizers, salads, cereals, breads and desserts.
• Maintains established food quality standards and consistency of menu items.
• Sets up workstation, maintains cleanliness of work area, and monitors food temperatures.
• Adheres to state sanitation standards.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
