Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, organize, and rotate pantry supplies to reduce waste and ensure quality.
  • Coordinate with vendors, facilities teams, and office administration for pantry operations.
  • Ensure coffee machines and related equipment are clean, stocked, and functioning.
  • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
  • Support employees and guests with courteous and professional service.
  • Develop and improve pantry procedures, checklists, schedules, and standards.

Summary:

The Office Pantry Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, cleanliness, inventory, and service quality of the office pantry and breakroom areas. This role ensures employees and visitors have access to a well-stocked, hygienic, welcoming, and efficiently managed pantry environment. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, service-oriented, and able to coordinate supplies, vendors, and pantry staff while maintaining food safety and workplace standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day pantry operations, including setup, restocking, organization, and closing procedures.
  • Maintain pantry cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards in accordance with company policies and food safety practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels for snacks, beverages, coffee, tea, paper goods, utensils, cleaning supplies, and other pantry items.
  • Place supply orders, coordinate deliveries, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Receive, inspect, organize, and rotate pantry supplies to reduce waste and ensure product quality.
  • Coordinate with vendors, facilities teams, cleaning staff, and office administration to support smooth pantry operations.
  • Ensure coffee machines, water dispensers, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, and other pantry equipment are clean, stocked, and functioning properly.
  • Report maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or supply shortages promptly.
  • Support employee and guest needs with a courteous, responsive, and professional approach.
  • Develop and improve pantry procedures, checklists, schedules, and standards for consistent service.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule pantry attendants or support staff, if applicable.
  • Track pantry usage, spending, and recurring needs to help manage budgets and improve efficiency.

Experience and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in hospitality, facilities, office administration, or food service is preferred.
  • Previous experience in pantry operations, hospitality, food service, facilities support, office services, or inventory management.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace cleanliness standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage inventory, supplies, schedules, and vendor communications.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond quickly to changing needs.
  • Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and inventory or ordering systems.
  • Prior experience in a Management/Supervision role preferred.
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience supervising pantry, hospitality, janitorial, or office support staff.
  • Familiarity with coffee machines, beverage systems, kitchen appliances, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with vendors, purchase orders, invoices, or supply budgets.
  • Ability to identify process improvements that enhance cleanliness, efficiency, and employee satisfaction.
  • Professional, dependable, and proactive work style.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform hands-on pantry tasks during the workday.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or move pantry supplies, beverage cases, and boxes as needed.
  • May require occasional early morning, evening, or weekend support depending on office events, deliveries, or business needs.
  • Work is primarily performed in an office pantry, breakroom, or facilities environment.
