Job summary

Georgia State University in Atlanta is seeking a Panther’s Pantry Coordinator to lead daily pantry operations, outreach, and strategic development across campuses, ensuring equitable access to food and hygiene resources for students in need.

You will supervise part-time staff and volunteers, manage inventory and programming, and cultivate partnerships to amplify the pantry’s impact while coordinating with campus units for outreach and awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience.
• Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience working in a college/university setting preferred.
• Familiarity with food insecurity and student basic needs services.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license for intercampus transportation of pantry items.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all populations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pantry operations across Atlanta and Perimeter campuses; coordinate bag preparation and distribution, locker sites, transportation, cleanliness, organization, accessibility, and safe lifting and movement of supplies.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and coordinate student assistants, interns, and volunteers; delegate work and support accountability.
• Track distributions, inventory, and service metrics; report outcomes and inform improvements.
• Manage pantry operating budget, invoices, purchasing, foundation accounts, food and hygiene inventory, replenishment, vendor and donor relationships, reimbursements, records, and university planning activities.
• Provide respectful, equitable client service, respond to feedback, and train student staff.
• Partner with campus units and student organizations to promote basic-needs resources, presentations, and awareness campaigns.
• Other duties as assigned.
