Job summary

Siemens Mobility is hiring a Manufacturing Equipment Operator for the Wendell, NC area to join the Protection and Automation Panel Assembly Workshop on first shift. You will operate CNC, KOMAX, laser-marking, and tube-marking equipment, rotate across stations, and ensure accurate identification of components and wires to support high-quality production.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a manufacturing, production, assembly, or machine-operating environment.
• Ability to follow standardized work instructions, safety requirements and quality standards.
• Basic English proficiency to read instructions and communicate safety concerns.
• Ability to lift parts or subassemblies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to rotate among multiple production stations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment to cut, drill, or machine panel components per drawings and work instructions.
• Operate KOMAX or similar wire-processing equipment to cut, strip, terminate, and prepare wires and bundles.
• Operate laser-marking and tube-marking equipment for accurate identification of components, wires, and tubing.
• Set up equipment, load materials, and verify machine settings prior to production.
• Monitor equipment during runs and respond to conditions affecting safety, quality, or output.
• Inspect machined components, wire terminations, bundles, labels, and tubing markings for conformance.
• Perform routine changeovers, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting per procedures.
• Escalate issues with equipment, tooling, programming, material, or quality when unresolved at workstation.
• Follow standardized work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Maintain organized workstation and proper handling to prevent damage or misidentification.
• Cross-train and rotate among CNC, wire-processing, laser-marking, and related stations.
• Identify recurring problems and communicate them to the team for continuous improvement.
