Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, North Carolina is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Operator to join the Protection and Automation Panel Assembly Workshop on first shift. Qualifications

  • 1+ years in manufacturing/production/machine-operator environment or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow standardized work instructions, procedures, safety and quality standards.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools, measuring devices and production equipment.
  • Willingness to cross-train and rotate across multiple production stations as needed.
  • Basic English proficiency to read instructions and raise safety or production concerns.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC equipment to cut, drill, or machine panel components per drawings and work instructions.
  • Operate KOMAX or similar wire-processing equipment to cut, strip, terminate, and prepare wires and bundles.
  • Operate laser-marking and tube-marking equipment for component and wiring identification.
  • Set up equipment, load materials, and verify machine settings before production.
  • Monitor equipment during runs and respond to conditions affecting safety, quality, or output.
  • Inspect machined components, wire terminations, bundles, labels, and tubing for conformance.
  • Complete routine changeovers, operator adjustments, and basic troubleshooting per procedures.
  • Escalate issues beyond workstation capabilities to ensure safety and quality.
  • Follow standard work instructions, safety requirements, equipment procedures and quality standards.
  • Maintain organized workstations and proper material handling to prevent mix-ups.
  • Participate in cross-training and rotating among CNC, wire-processing, laser-marking, and related stations.
  • Identify recurring problems and communicate them to the team to support continuous improvement.
