Job summary

Merck is seeking a PAM Team Lead (R4 - Associate Director) to own strategy, engineering execution, and service health for privileged access and secrets management. You will lead a global PAM team, partner with IAM Product, architecture, and cybersecurity to advance Zero Trust and meet regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes leadership, strategic governance, and cross-functional collaboration to reduce cyber risk and strengthen enterprise identity security across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity or IAM with 7+ years in PAM.
• Experience leading security engineering teams in a global organization.
• Strong understanding of enterprise PAM and secrets management platforms.
• Hands-on knowledge of PAM across Windows, UNIX/Linux, and databases.
• Experience with Agile methods and Jira.
• Excellent communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise PAM roadmap and governance.a0Lead end-to-end PAM engineering delivery.
• Modernize privileged access with least-privilege and just-in-time models.
• Oversee PAM risk, vulnerabilities, and audit remediations.
• Lead daily PAM engineering activities and drive delivery.a0Foster Agile practices and team development.
• Partner with product owners to align PAM with OKRs and business needs.
