Job summary

Merck is seeking a PAM Team Lead to own the strategy, engineering execution, service health, and continuous improvement of privileged access and secrets management. You will lead a global PAM engineering team with key partners across IAM Product, architecture, and cybersecurity to advance Zero Trust and meet regulatory and business needs.

Responsibilities include owning PAM roadmaps, setting governance standards, and delivering scalable PAM solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity or IAM, with at least 7 years in PAM.
• Experience leading security engineering teams in a large, global org.
• Strong understanding of enterprise PAM and secrets platforms (Delinea, CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Vault).
• Hands-on PAM solutions for Windows, UNIX/Linux, and databases.
• Agile delivery with Product Owners using Jira.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise PAM roadmap aligned with cybersecurity strategy and Zero Trust objectives.
• Lead design and delivery of PAM and secrets management capabilities.
• Mentor and develop the PAM team and promote Agile practices.
• Partner with the IAM Product Owner to manage backlog and OKRs; ensure PAM health and improvement.
• Remediate PAM vulnerabilities and control gaps; oversee governance and risk metrics.
