Job summary

MaineHealth Pen Bay Medical Center seeks a compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its palliative care team. You will provide inpatient consultations and outpatient visits, working with an interdisciplinary group to improve quality of life for patients with serious illness.

The role offers collaboration with primary care, oncology, hospital medicine, and specialty services, with CME reimbursement and professional development time to support ongoing growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or graduate of an accredited Certified Physician Assistant/Associate program.
• Maine NP or PA license and DEA.
• 2 years' experience as an NP/PA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consultation services and outpatient palliative care clinic visits at Pen Bay Medical Center.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to focus on quality of life, symptom management, and goals-of-care discussions.
• Support expansion of access to specialty palliative care across the coastal Maine community.
