Job summary

Qualifications

  • Maine NP or PA license and DEA.
  • 2 years' experience as an NP/PA is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient consultation services and outpatient palliative care clinic visits at Pen Bay Medical Center.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to focus on quality of life, symptom management, and goals-of-care discussions.
  • Support expansion of access to specialty palliative care across the coastal Maine community.

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate - Palliative Care

MaineHealth Pen Bay Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate to join our growing Palliative Care team. This position offers the unique opportunity to provide palliative care across both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting patients and families living with serious illness throughout the continuum of care.

Most of this position will be based at Pen Bay Medical Center, with responsibilities that include inpatient consultation services and outpatient palliative care clinic visits. As our program continues to grow, this role will play an important part in expanding access to specialty palliative care services for the coastal Maine community.

You will join a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team that includes palliative care physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other clinical partners. Our team works closely with primary care, oncology, hospital medicine, and specialty services to provide patient-centered care focused on quality of life, symptom management, goals-of-care discussions, and caregiver support.

The Position Offers:

  • The annual base salary for this position is within a range from $117,024 to $151,442.
