Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a compassionate Palliative Care RN to partner with patients and families, coordinating care across teams and settings in Billings, Montana. You will educate families about diagnoses and options, assess symptoms, and support care planning to improve quality of life.

The role emphasizes collaborative, interdisciplinary care, patient advocacy, and holistic support with a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) and a strong focus on compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BSN from an accredited institution. Education will be verified.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care and serve as a navigator for palliative care patients and their families.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and available resources.
• Assess symptoms and collaborate with providers to support symptom management plans.
• Triage patient and family calls, questions, and care concerns.
• Coordinate services across primary care, specialty care, hospice, home health, and community resources.
• Support advance care planning conversations and documentation.
• Provide ongoing follow-up and care coordination throughout the patient's healthcare journey.
