Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Palliative Care RN in Billings, MT, to coordinate care and educate patients and families facing serious illness. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to manage symptoms, support advance care planning, and ensure smooth care transitions.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient- and family-centered care with a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) and a strong benefits package. Montana licensure and BSN are required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; compact licensure must transfer within 60 days of employment.
• BSN from an accredited institution; education verified.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care and navigate palliative care for patients and families.
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and resources.
• Assess symptoms and collaborate on symptom management plans.
• Triage calls and concerns from patients and families.
• Coordinate services across primary care, specialty care, hospice, home health, and community resources.
• Support advance care planning discussions and documentation.
• Provide ongoing follow-up and care coordination throughout the journey.
