Hartford HealthCare's Wolfson Palliative Care Program seeks an experienced Hospice & Palliative Medicine physician to lead The Hospital of Central Connecticut and MidState Medical Center. This role blends 50% administrative leadership with 50% clinical practice, enabling strategic direction, mentoring of residents, and direct patient care.

The position includes a faculty appointment with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, fostering collaboration within a nationally known health

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in hospice & palliative medicine.
• Fellowship-trained and board-certified in hospice & palliative medicine.
• Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure.
• Minimum three years of palliative care practice experience.
• Minimum two years of physician leadership experience.
• Eligible for appointment to the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Half administrative leadership and half clinical practice leading the Wolfson Palliative Care Program.
• Provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership across Central Region.
• Mentor residents and advanced practice providers; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Drive innovation, quality improvement, and program growth within Hartford HealthCare.
