Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide palliative and hospice care across Alabama locations. You will perform assessments, symptom management, and patient/family education, collaborating with the PCP and IDT to maximize comfort and quality of life.

The role requires NP licensure, and board certification in Hospice and Palliative Care is preferred. Flexibility for after-hours visits is expected.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered NP license in state of employment.
• Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Care preferred.
• Experience in hospice, oncology, or home health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency assessments in hospice/palliative care.
• Collaborates with Medical Director, Attending Physician, and IDT.
• Educates patients and families on care options and prognosis.
• Maintains accurate patient records and supports reimbursement.
