Job summary

Compass Palliative Care, a Kansas-based practice, seeks experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants with a strong background in palliative and pain management. This contract role involves on-site and on-the-road patient care in ALF/SNF settings, with flexible days and hours to support diverse schedules.

You will assess patients, define and document diagnoses, prescribe and refill medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to meet company goals.

Qualifications

• Licensed NP or PA in Kansas.
• Active DEA license required.
• Contract role with flexible days and hours.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients in ALF/SNF environments.
• Provide palliative and pain management to treat the patient.
• Perform pain management procedures as needed.
• Define and document patient diagnoses.
• Prescribe and refill medications.
• Educate patients and families; provide management guidance.
• Notate findings and treatment courses in patient charts, including follow-up notes.
• Participate in departmental activities to improve training and achieve company goals.
