Job summary

General Mills is seeking a maintenance technician for the 2nd shift in our Ohio facility. You will support equipment troubleshooting, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with experienced teams to keep production lines running smoothly.

Requirements include at least two years in maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, CMMS experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The role offers on-site work and benefits including health, dental, and 401(k).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years’ experience working in Maintenance.
  • Computer Maintenance Management Systems experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and plant leadership for equipment troubleshooting and modifications.
  • Perform uptime and downtime preventative maintenance per the master PM schedule.
  • Troubleshoot AC/DC voltage and maintain palletizer equipment and conveyors.
  • Learn minor machining and welding tasks.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance.
  • Order and track parts within budget and report unsafe conditions.
  • Assist with training new employees and attend meetings and trainings.
