Job summary

General Mills is hiring for a Maintenance Storeroom Parts Coordinator in Joplin, MO. The role supports inventory accuracy, parts staging, and Maximo-based receiving. The shift runs 2 pm–10 pm on the 2nd shift, with overtime as needed.

Starting pay is $19.98/hour with opportunities up to $22.18/hour for internal advancement. Benefits include vacation, holidays, 401(k) match, and medical/dental coverage. This plant operates around the clock.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with Maintenance Connection, Maximo, and SAP.
• 6 months in storeroom/parts management and inventory.
• English communication ability.
• Basic computer skills.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stage, track parts and work orders; maintain labels and daily reports.
• Conduct daily blind cycle counts; manage asset and inventory records.
• Maintain clean, organized storeroom; ensure 5S.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Maintenance on Maximo setup and OEM parts sourcing.
• Support receiving in Maximo and resolve quantity blocks.
• Expedite vendor orders to minimize downtime.
• Maintain records and generate reports promptly.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Assist in training new employees.
