Job summary

Maker's Pride in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a dependable 2nd shift Sit-Down Forklift Operator to support our packaging and distribution operations. You will monitor palletizing tasks, load and move pallets, and ensure safe, accurate material handling on a busy line.

The role requires PIT certification, LOTO awareness, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a keen eye for detail. You must work Monday through Friday with overtime and weekends as needed, and comply with all safety policies to help

Qualifications

• Must hold Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.
• LOTO awareness and safety training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely on a pallet.
• Ability to work independently when required.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklift to move and stack pallets.
• Monitor palletizing operations and ensure proper SKU alignment.
• Enter data into the SAP system as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the pallet area.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report faults.
• Adhere to safety policies (LOTO, PPE) and wear required gear.
• Communicate with leads and supervisor about status and issues.

Job Summary

MUST HAVE SIT-DOWN FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE.

This position has the responsibility to always comply with Safety work rules as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures, and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed, and complied with uniformly, to reduce product and process variability.

The purpose of the robotic palletizing operator is to monitor the robotic palletizing machines, following all safety policies and procedures, as they collect cases/cartons according to product SKU and line.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies such as LOTO, PPE, PIT and
• Assumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
• Always ensures regulatory compliance.
• Adhere to safety policies such as LOTO, PPE, PIT and Housekeeping
• Operate the robotic palletizing machines ensuring cases are properly stacked according to product SKU and line.
• Ensure all full pallets are indexed and wrapped with plastic.
• Enter data into the SAP system.
• Maintain frequent communication with leads and/or supervisor.
• Keep empty pallets, slip sheets and other necessary supplies on hand for the job.
• Work through the HMI (Human Machine Interface)
• Determine if product meets proper specifications or not and take corrective action as needed.
• Stack cases of product manually as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and general good housekeeping of the palletizing area, keeping all debris and dirt swept up.
• Clear case jams and reset machine and pallet count when/if needed.
• Troubleshoot basic machine faults and follow prompting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification
• Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
• Ability lifts to 50 lbs. safely when handling pallets for hand stacking finished outgoing product.
• Ability to work independently at times.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to travel stairs.
