Job summary

TPI Staffing, Inc. in Houston is seeking a Forklift Operator for 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 3:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m.). Pay is $18.00/hr with a $1.00/hr shift differential ($19.00/hr total).

Must have 3–5 years of recent forklift experience and be authorized to work in the United States. You will operate a forklift, order picker and pallet rider to load, unload, move, stack and stage products, using RF equipment for pricing, receiving and put-away as required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of recent forklift experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and attractive to lift overhead.
• Comfortable working at high elevations as the lift extends upwards.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, order picker and pallet rider to load, unload, move, stack and stage products.
• Use radio frequency equipment for pricing, receiving and put-away as required.
• Ensure accurate storage, picking, packing and receiving of product.
• Maintain neat, clean, and orderly facilities and equipment.
• Perform daily inspections on lift equipment.
• Operate all lift equipment safely and efficiently following policies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Strive to meet daily, weekly and monthly quotas.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Demonstrate strong urgency to meet targets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

Use forklift, order picker and a pallet rider, to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials

Order Picker or Cherry Picker PIT Operator- MUST be comfortable working at high elevations as the lift does extend upwards

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Using a forklift, order picker and a pallet rider, to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials
• Work with radio frequency equipment for pricing, receiving, and put-away as required
• Responsible for the accurate storing, picking, packing, and receiving of product
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
• On a daily basis, perform inspections on the lift equipment
• Operate all lift equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following prescribed work methods
• Understand and follow all policies and procedures set by the company
• Strive to meet daily, weekly and monthly goals
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Strong sense of urgency with the ability to meet or exceed picking quotas
• Other job duties when applicable

Qualifications

• One year in a warehouse environment
• Familiar with warehouse concepts, practices, and procedures is required
• Meeting safety, security, accuracy, and productivity standards of the facility
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be eighteen years of age or older
• Excellent communication skills
• Good math, reading and communication skills
• Ability to operate a pallet jack, pallet rider, order picker and a sit sown
• Reach truck and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds infrequently
• Requires squatting, kneeling, bending and some overhead lifting.
• Able to be flexible with a team attitude
