Job summary

PLA, a national pallet management and logistics provider, is seeking a GMA Pallet Repair Technician in Sacramento, CA. You will inspect, repair, and rebuild pallets to meet quality standards and support daily production goals in a fast-paced facility.

Requires experience in pallet repair, carpentry or woodworking; high school diploma or equivalent; and ability to operate hand and power tools safely. The role offers competitive pay from $19 to $44.49 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in pallet repair, carpentry, woodworking, or construction preferred.
• Knowledge of operating various saws — including proper use, safety, and basic maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work safely with high-powered saws and tools in a fast-paced assembly-line environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pallets for damage, wear, and structural issues; determine the appropriate level of repair.
• Perform precise repairs to ensure consistent, high-quality results.
• Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to remove, replace, or reinforce pallet boards and components.
• Meet or exceed daily production goals.
• Identify and understand different pallet types and grades.
• Conduct final evaluations of completed pallets to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and repair equipment.
