Job summary

PLA is seeking a GMA Pallet Repair Technician in Houston, TX to inspect, repair, and rebuild pallets, ensuring quality and safety standards. You will perform a range of assembly-line repair tasks, identify damages, and help maintain continuous production in the facility.

This role supports PLA’s national pallet management and 3PL services with a strong emphasis on accuracy and safety. Founded in 1989, PLA operates 76+ facilities and serves over 1,500 customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in pallet repair, woodworking, carpentry, or construction preferred.
• Ability to operate various saws safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail to detect defects or material inconsistencies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pallets for damage, wear, and structural issues; determine the repair level.
• Perform repairs with precision to ensure high-quality results.
• Use hand and power tools to replace or reinforce pallet boards and components.
• Meet or exceed daily production targets.
• Identify types and grades of pallets and conduct final evaluations.
