Job summary

CHEP is hiring for a Repair Operator on 2nd shift in our Kennebunk facility, Maine. You will repair pallets using a pneumatic nail gun and saw, standing for long periods and lifting pallets weighing 60–75 lbs, while following strict safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Uses a pneumatic nail gun and a reciprocating saw to repair pallets.
• In a repair department, places pallet on repair table, removes defective boards, replaces and nails boards into place.
• Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of the saw.
• Work requires standing for long periods.
• Operators must be able to repeatedly lift a pallet weighing 60-75 lbs.
• Nail guns must be operated with extreme care, adhering to safety procedures.
