Job summary

CHEP is seeking a Repair Operator to join our pallet repair team. You will troubleshoot jams, replace damaged boards, and ensure pallets are safe and ready for use. The role requires stamina, strength to lift pallets, and strict adherence to safety procedures, with a 2nd shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 4pm–12am).

Qualifications

• Repair Operators must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.
• The ability to concentrate on tasks and understand information is essential.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Use a pneumatic nail gun and reciprocating saw to repair pallets.
• Place pallets on repair table, replace defective boards, and nail new boards into place.
• Troubleshoot jams and perform basic maintenance of the saw.
• Stand for long periods and lift pallets weighing 60–75 lbs repeatedly.
• Operate nail guns with strict adherence to safety procedures.
