Job summary

CHEP in Temple, TX is seeking a Nail Maintenance Operator to perform nail removal, board replacement and part additions on pallets, ensuring safety and quality. The role requires hands-on work in a manufacturing setting with attention to detail and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

2nd shift, 4:30pm–1:00am; $20/hr with $0.75 shift differential; benefits from day one. Join a team focused on safety, continuous improvement and reliable pallet repair.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Familiarity with operation of hand/production tools such as pneumatic nail gun.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Physical: able to lift and maneuver pallets and tools as required.

Responsibilities

• Nail Removal: identify and remove damaged or protruding nails.
• Board Replacement: replace damaged boards and ensure alignment.
• Adding Missing Pieces: attach missing components to restore pallet function.
• Safety and Compliance: follow PPE and safety protocols; report hazards.
• Quality Assurance: inspect repairs meet safety and quality standards.
