Job summary

CHEP invites applications for a Repair Operator to join our team. You will repair pallets using a pneumatic nail gun and a reciprocating saw, replacing defective boards and ensuring quality workmanship on a fast-moving line.

Work is on the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 4pm-12am) with a pay rate of $22.30 per hour plus a $1 shift differential. We require physical strength, endurance, and the ability to focus in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Repair Operators must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.
• Must also be able to concentrate.
• The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential.

Responsibilities

• Use pneumatic nail gun and reciprocating saw to repair pallets.
• In repair, place pallet on repair table, remove defective boards, replace with new boards, and nail into place.
• Troubleshoot jams and perform basic maintenance of the saw.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Lift a pallet weighing 60-75 lbs repeatedly.
• Operate nail guns with care following safety procedures.
