Job summary

DigiKey Electronics is seeking a Pallet Picking Associate to support the Outbound function at the PDC. You will locate, retrieve, and move product to correct locations, operate forklifts and order pickers, and ensure accurate, timely handling of shipments.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with full-time on-site expectations and a focus on safety, teamwork, and maintaining KPI targets in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Acquire and maintain forklift certification (certification provided by Digi-Key).
• Regular and exemplary use of OrderPicker, Turret Truck, 8900 (motorized Pallet cart) and Forklifts is required for this role.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic computer navigation and typing skills.
• Ability to provide a positive, professional and enthusiastic outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adapt to changing requests.
• Maintain and support organizational KPI's.
• Safety-conscious and team-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Locate, retrieve and move product from location to location or from pallets for storage or shipment.
• Use of Stock Picker may require going up to 30 ft to pick orders.
• Transport products to areas where action is required using RF devices.
• Assist in locating product to be expedited.
• Pick parts using a handheld device that directs location.
• Operate PIV equipment and forklifts with adherence to safety rules.
• Participate as a team member to meet departmental goals.
• Maintain high safety standards and KPIs.
