Job summary

Sysco is seeking a warehouse operations associate in New York to load pre-assembled merchandise and master containers for shipment and delivery. The role involves manual lifting, pallet wrapping, and truck loading under general supervision.

Candidates should have at least 3 months of warehouse experience, including forklift/pallet jack operation, and be able to pass pre-employment testing. High school diploma or GED preferred; 18+ required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 months warehouse experience preferred.
• 3 months experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift preferred.
• Previous experience at Sysco or in foodservice industry preferred.
• Must be 18+ years of age and able to pass pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads shipments; heavy lifting up to 100 pounds per box.
• Loads trucks according to mapping and instructions.
• Packs product to prevent damage and ensure load stability for driver safety.
• Wraps pallets by machine or hand to secure loads.
• Unloads and cleans trucks as necessary.
• Operates stock trucks and mechanical jacks safely in the plant.
• Prepares products for shipment by weighing, handling and transporting as needed.
• Marks, addresses, loads and packs products for delivery and condition.
• Hand loads products onto trucks as required.
• Complies with all safety regulations and standards.
