Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc in Knoxville, TN is seeking an Operations professional to load pre-assembled merchandise and pallets for shipment and to transport containers as directed under general supervision.

You will perform heavy lifting, operate a pallet jack or forklift, wrap pallets, load and unload trucks, and help ensure safety and accuracy in shipment prep. Must be 18+ and able to pass pre-employment tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 months warehouse experience preferred.
• 3 months experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift preferred.
• Previous experience at Sysco or in foodservice industry preferred.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Submit to pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check, Physical Abilities Test).

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads shipments as required, lifting boxes up to 100 pounds.
• Loads trucks according to mapping and special instructions.
• Packs product to avoid damages and maintain load stability.
• Wraps pallets by machine or hand for stability.
• Unloads and cleans trucks as necessary.
• Operates stock trucks and mechanical jacks safely.
• Prepares products for shipment by weighing, handling and transporting.
• Marks, addresses, loads, and packs product for delivery.
• Hand loads product onto trucks as required.
• Complies with all safety regulations and standards.
