Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in Wichita, KS, is seeking a painting technician to support aerospace finishing operations. You will prep surfaces, mix paints, and help maintain clean work areas to ensure high-quality coatings.

Position Summary

Responsible for assisting in painting operations by preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and maintaining an organized and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sand, and mask aerospace components to prepare them for painting.
• Assist in mixing paints and coatings according to specified formulas and instructions.
• Maintain painting equipment and tools, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of painting processes, including materials used and time spent on each task.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in paint is a plus, preferably in the aerospace industry.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
