Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking an Aircraft Painter to join our Wichita, KS team. You will prepare aircraft surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking, then apply primers, paints, and coatings to achieve durable finishes.

The role requires reading technical drawings, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Aerospace experience and a high school diploma or vocational painting training are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in painting preferred.
  • Experience as a painter, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of paint types, application techniques, and surface preparation methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.
