Painter/Wallcoverer II – Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore, Santa Barbara
Join our Engineering department to support the reopening of our newly remodeled resort in the American Riviera, Santa Barbara. The role focuses on maintaining the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation through painting and wallcovering tasks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain physical property and furnishings consistent with luxury hotel standards.
- Clean and touch up painted surfaces throughout the hotel.
- Maintain brushes, rollers, and related equipment in good condition.
- Complete all assigned work safely, promptly, and to Four Seasons standards.
- Use safety precautions when handling tools, chemicals, ladders, or other potentially dangerous equipment.
- Keep work area clean, neat, and organized.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner reflecting the high standards of Four Seasons Hotels.
- Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
- Report any accident immediately, no matter how minor.
- Maintain a good working relationship with other employees.
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
Physical Demands
- Frequent forward bending, twisting, and lateral movement of the spine.
- Kneeling, half‑kneeling, squatting, and side‑sitting for extended periods.
- Working on hands and knees during construction and sculpting activities.
- Climbing ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.
- Using various hand grips for handling tools and materials.
- Performing fine motor tasks requiring lateral pinch and three‑point pinch dexterity for detailed sculpting work.
- Weight‑bearing through upper extremities during project installation and fabrication.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling lumber, plywood, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Lifting materials from squatting, kneeling, and forward‑bending positions.
- Carrying large materials in asymmetrical postures for stabilization and support.
- Pushing and pulling carts loaded with tools, equipment, and materials.
Schedule & Hours
- Full‑time position, minimum 40 hours per week. Hours and days vary with business levels.
- Early mornings, evenings, weekends required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in luxury hospitality preferred.
- At least 2 years of related field experience.
- Good communication, writing, and oral proficiency.
- Ability to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and overnights.
