Job Title

Assistant Director of Engineering

What You Will Do

• Assist the Director of Engineering with all aspects of resort and building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC, refrigeration, interior paint and decorating.
• Respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons policies.
• Assist in hiring, training, supervising, scheduling, counseling, and evaluating maintenance staff and conduct daily spot checks.
• Ensure proper execution of work order/request system and coordinate follow up.
• Prepare requisitions for purchase and work orders and liaise with the Director of Purchasing.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules, policies and rules to ensure departmental efficiency.
• Maintain logs on stock items and tools and monitor distribution.

What You Bring

• At least 5 years of leadership experience in a hotel or resort environment with expert technical knowledge of general building maintenance and environmental standards, preferably on luxury properties.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong experience managing capital projects, renovations, and new construction projects.
• Passionate and motivated leader with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, integrity and transparency.
• Strong business acumen, eye for detail, and passion for service; commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate computer equipment and system applications.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English; Spanish preferred.
• Flexible schedule; ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays, including day and evening shifts.
