Job summary

Omni Los Angeles Hotel is seeking an experienced maintenance painter to uphold a safe, well‑maintained environment for guests. You will perform routine painting across public areas, guest rooms and meeting spaces, following Omni CARE guidelines and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include stock management, assisting engineers, and providing excellent guest service while working flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a commercial painter.
• Brush, roll, spray and texture work proficiency.
• Patch, float and repair damaged surfaces.
• Ability to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy and Bondo.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms and corridors.
• Perform preventive maintenance of guest rooms per Omni CARE guidelines.
• Maintain stock of paint supplies and notify when replenishment is needed.
• Assist guests and guide them to destinations when possible.
• Know Omni fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
• Respond to service requests and assist engineers as needed.
• Keep work areas clean and comply with safety standards.
• Work Indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Overview

To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment while providing maintenance services to guests in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms and corridors on an on-going basis including paint, wallpaper and plastering.
• Performs preventive maintenance of guest rooms, following preventive maintenance guidelines for Omni CARE program.
• Maintain correct stock/inventory of paint supplies and materials and communicate when replenishment is needed.
• Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible)
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
• Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures.
• Respond to all requests.
• Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs.
• Keep all work areas clean.
• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a commercial painter required, hotel experience preferred.
• Must be able to brush, roll, spray, and work on different textures.
• Must be able to patch, float and repair damaged surfaces.
• Must be able to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy and Bondo.
• Must be able to apply caulk.
• Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests.
• Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
• Must work indoors and outdoors including during extreme weather conditions.
• May be asked to be part of "ride-out" crew during severe weather events.
• Must be able to work using ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts.

Working Environment

Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.
