Job summary

Omni Corpus Christi Hotel seeks a professional maintenance painter to keep public areas, guest rooms, meeting spaces and corridors looking pristine and inviting.

You will perform painting and finishing work, patching, caulking and texture applications, perform repairs, and assist with safety procedures while delivering friendly guest service. You may work indoors and outdoors, and need a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a commercial painter required, hotel experience preferred.
• Must be able to brush, roll, spray, and work on different textures.
• Must be able to patch, float and repair damaged surfaces.
• Must be able to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy and Bondo.
• Must be able to apply caulk.
• Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests.
• Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
• Must work indoors and outdoors including during extreme weather conditions.
• May be asked to be part of "ride-out" crew during severe weather events.
• Must be able to work using ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts.

• Maintain correct stock/inventory of paint supplies and communicate when replenishment is needed.
• Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible).
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
• Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures.
• Respond to all requests.
• Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs.
• Keep all work areas clean.
