Job summary

Omni La Mansion del Rio is seeking an experienced Painter to maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms, and corridors, including painting, wallpaper, and plastering. You’ll follow Omni CARE maintenance guidelines and assist engineers as needed while providing friendly service to guests.

The role requires experience as a commercial painter (hotel experience preferred), ability to work with various textures and finishes, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience as a commercial painter, hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to brush, roll, spray and work on different textures.
• Patch, float and repair damaged surfaces.
• Work with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy and Bondo.
• Apply caulk.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Interact and communicate with hotel guests.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.
• Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather.
• May participate in ride-out during severe weather.
• Ability to use ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock of paint supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
• Assist guests in locating areas of the hotel when needed.
• Follow Omni fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation protocols.
• Be familiar with Omni systems and procedures.
• Respond to all service requests from guests.
• Assist engineers and mechanics with repairs when required.
• Keep work areas clean.

To ensure a safe, efficient, well‑maintained hotel environment while providing maintenance services to guests in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms and corridors on an ongoing basis including paint, wallpaper and plastering.
• Perform preventive maintenance of guest rooms, following preventive maintenance guidelines for Omni CARE program.
• Maintain correct stock/inventory of paint supplies and materials and communicate when replenishment is needed.
• Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible).
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
• Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures.
• Respond to all requests.
• Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs.
• Keep all work areas clean.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a commercial painter required, hotel experience preferred.
• Must be able to brush, roll, spray, and work on different textures.

• Must be able to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy and Bondo.
• Must be able to apply caulk.
• Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests.
• Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
• Must work indoors and outdoors including during extreme weather conditions.
• May be asked to be part of “ride-out” crew during severe weather events.
• Must be able to work using ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts.
