V2X Inc in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a Painter (2nd shift) to support our Modernization and Sustainment site. You will apply coatings, prep surfaces, and operate spray equipment to ensure quality finishes.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of accepted surface preparation and coating methods and techniques.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
• May be designated according to the article painted.

Responsibilities

• Applies lacquer, rust-proofing agents, and other coatings to surfaces.
• Performs special finishing techniques such as marbling and graining.
• Prepares items for painting by tinting, toning, matching, blending, and mixing additives.
• Paints articles using brushes and other methods.
• Is required to use a spray gun.
• Transfers items to and from work area.
• Follows instructions provided through routings, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
• Pays close attention to detail to ensure precise coating application and avoid defects.
