V2X is hiring a Painter (2nd shift) to support the Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role involves applying lacquer and other coatings, performing finishing techniques, and preparing items for painting using tinting and blending methods.

The position requires strict adherence to routings and specifications, precise coating application, and the ability to operate a spray gun, with a focus on quality and attention to detail in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accepted surface preparation and coating methods and techniques.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
• May be designated according to the article painted.

Responsibilities

• Applies lacquer, rust-proofing agents, and other coatings to surfaces.
• Performs finishing techniques such as marbling and graining.
• Prepares items for painting by tinting, toning, matching, blending, and mixing additives.
• Paints articles using brushes and other methods.
• Required to use a spray gun.
• Transfers items to and from work area.
• Follows instructions provided through routings, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
