Job summary

Boley Centers in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a full-time painter/maintenance worker to perform interior painting of apartment units and common areas. You will prepare surfaces, patch drywall, and maintain tools while supporting a maintenance team across agency facilities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of painting or related experience, and a Florida driver's license. A Level 2 background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least two years of painting or related maintenance experience preferred. Experience with interior painting, drywall patching, and surface preparation highly desirable.
• Valid Florida driver's license.
• Must pass a Level 2 background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Interior painting of apartment units during unit turnovers including walls, trim, doors, and other interior surfaces.
• Submit recommendations to the Property Maintenance Manager regarding facility appearance, maintenance needs, and potential improvement opportunities.
• Painting and touch-up work in offices, hallways, common areas, and interior building structures including columns and high visibility areas.
• Prepare surfaces for painting including patching drywall, sanding, cleaning surfaces, taping, priming, and protecting surrounding areas.
• Maintain a consistent and professional paint finish throughout agency facilities to preserve property appearance and quality.
• Identify areas requiring repainting or touch-up and communicates needs to the Property Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain painting tools, ladders, rollers, sprayers, brushes, and other equipment in proper working condition.
• Track and maintain inventory of painting supplies including paints, primers, brushes, rollers, tape, and other materials.
• Assist with pressure washing of buildings, sidewalks, entryways, and other exterior surfaces during periods when painting work is not required.
• Assist maintenance staff with general maintenance projects consistent with skill level and training.
• Assist with property appearance improvements and preventative maintenance observations across Boley facilities.
• Participate in setup, preparation, and breakdown for agency events and activities as requested, consistent with other maintenance team responsibilities.
