Job summary

John Knox Village of Central Florida is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for painting, pressure washing and related maintenance duties. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, following safety codes, and supporting preventative maintenance across facilities.

The role requires flexibility to work days, evenings, or nights and to participate in on-call rotations. Prior maintenance and Vo-tech experience are beneficial, with a requirement to lift up to 50 pounds and pass a Level

Qualifications

• Must pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Clearinghouse.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Valid Florida driver's license in good standing is required.
• Experience in building/facility maintenance and painting is beneficial; Vo-tech experience is a plus.
• Employee must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodations; physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assists other Maintenance Technicians as needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance on systems and equipment.
• Maintains routine records of inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
• Works days, evenings or nights and participates in on-call schedule.
• Performs manual duties (moving supplies, replacing bulbs, removing trash).
• Prepares/smoothes surfaces, removes old paint, and matches paint surfaces.
• Pressure washes surfaces and maintains washing equipment.
• Uses and maintains basic tools required for duties.
• Stores open paint containers and regulated materials safely.
• Attends in-service meetings and completes work orders.
• Responds to code red alerts.

Job Summary: Painting, pressure washing and other duties relating to maintenance are the primary duties. Maintain equipment and tools associated with duties.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Assists other Maintenance Technicians as needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance on systems and equipment as required.
• Performs preventative maintenance duties to all physical structures and complies with all building & OSHA safety codes and regulations. This is to include facility equipment and associated controls.
• Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
• Works days, evenings or nights as required performing required duties. Participates in the departments on call schedule.
• Performs manual duties as requested (i.e. moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash scrap material).
• Prepares and smoothes surfaces; removes old paint; matches paint and paint surfaces in a timely manner.
• Pressure washes surfaces without damaging; uses appropriate mixture of cleaning solutions and maintain pressure washing equipment in good working condition.
• Uses and maintains basic tools required to perform duties.
• Responsible for the proper and safe storage of open paint containers and other regulated materials.
• Attends in-service meetings, daily meetings & filling out work order forms.
• Responds to code red alerts.
• Educational, Physical, and Other Requirements:
