Job summary

Spaulding Hospital-Cambridge, Inc. seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform a variety of tasks across building operations, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upkeep.

You will respond to repairs, service lights, adjust climate controls, maintain patient equipment, and document work; the role requires safety-conscious, independent work and strong communication; onsite schedule, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma; related field of study preferred
  • EPA Section 608 Technician Certification - Environmental Protection Agency preferred
  • 1–2 years of trades experience required
  • Must be knowledgeable of safe maintenance practices, procedures and guidelines; good communication and computer proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain operation of the buildings
  • Respond to emergency and routine repairs within department timeframes and meet regulatory requirements
  • Operate and maintain mechanical equipment in safe condition
  • Repair lights, nurse call lights, beds and patient equipment
  • Adjust temperature control devices and maintain sinks and toilets
  • Complete painting per established guidelines
  • Document repairs, replacement parts and adjustments per guidelines
  • Maintain preventative maintenance program per OSHA requirements
  • Assist trades in installation, maintenance or basic repair of equipment, piping, electric, HVAC and related duties
