Job summary

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Corporation is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain clean, safe spaces within the Medical Center. You will clean and sanitize areas per schedules and infection control guidelines, and properly dispose of hazardous waste.

You will operate floor machines and buffers to keep surfaces in excellent condition. Experience is preferred but not required; High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• 0-1 year related experience preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply them safely
• Working knowledge of vacuum cleaners and floor buffers

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize areas according to schedules and infection control guidelines.
• Dispose of hazardous waste properly.
• Clean and service assigned areas.
• Move furniture, equipment and supplies as needed in hospital departments.
• Operate cleaning equipment (floor machines, buffers).
• Attend at least eight unit/department meetings annually.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary patient and non-patient areas.
