Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Jamestown, ND is seeking a Painter I to prime and paint detail parts and assemblies, maintain painting equipment, and ensure finishes meet specifications. The role requires adherence to SOPs, proper paint mixing, and safe operation of spray equipment.

Qualified candidates typically hold a HS diploma or GED. Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills are preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position on the 4th shift (Fri-Sun 6am–6:30pm).

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required or equivalent vocational/technical training.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and follow technical specifications.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prime and finish paint on detail parts and assemblies to current specifications.
• Maintain paint equipment; mix paint and control viscosity.
• Follow standard operating procedures and specs.
• Clean, assemble and adjust spray guns and equipment.
• Mask and prep parts for paint; cure parts after topcoat.
• Operate chart recorders as required.
