Job summary

Primus Aerospace is seeking a dependable Painter to join our manufacturing team. You will prepare aerospace components for painting, apply primers and coatings, and inspect finished parts to ensure quality and precision.

This role requires strict adherence to safety standards in a production setting. 3rd Shift: Fri - Sun 6am - 6:30pm with a pay rate of $17.00 - $22.00 per hour, paid for 40 hours in a 36 hour shift.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace painting preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with consistency and precision.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare aerospace parts and components for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface prepping.
• Apply primers, coatings, and paint finishes according to specifications and work instructions.
• Inspect painted parts for quality, consistency, and proper coverage.
• Operate spray painting equipment and maintain painting tools and materials.
• Mix paints and coatings to required specifications.
• Ensure proper handling and movement of parts throughout the paint process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use PPE.
• Work closely with production, quality, and assembly teams to meet deadlines and production goals.
