Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking a painter to inspect parts, select and mix appropriate paints per shop paperwork and datasheets, and prepare surfaces before coating. The role covers painting on various surfaces and metals, including spray gun application.

Applicants must manage time well and coordinate with teammates in a shop environment. Work is conducted in shop conditions with ITAR compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect details and evaluate the painting work required for the part.
• Effectively establish the correct paint for the application as flowed down by shop paperwork.
• Mix paints as specified by supplied directions or Technical Data Sheets.
• Prepare and perform minor sanding to detail surface before applying paint.
• Paint effectively on different surfaces and metals.
• Ability to use spray gun or perform other paint methods.
• Able to effectively manage time and complete all delegated work within the specified time.
• Work in a team and coordinate work functions with fellow workers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in shop conditions and can be in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role.

Salary Range: $18-$19/hour
