Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, LLC in Blairsville, PA, is seeking a Paint Technician to apply paints, prepare surfaces and ensure finishes meet specifications. This on-site, full-time role requires attention to detail, safe work practices, and collaboration with the shop team.

You will mix paints according to instructions, sand as needed, and operate a spray gun or other methods while maintaining production schedules and quality. ITAR compliance is noted for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in paint application and shop procedures.
• Ability to follow technical data sheets and work instructions.

• Mix paints as specified by supplied directions or Technical Data Sheets.
• Prepare and perform minor sanding to detail surface before applying paint.
• Paint effectively on different surfaces and metals.
• Ability to use spray gun or perform other paint methods.
• Able to effectively manage time and complete all delegated work within the specified time.
• Work in a team and coordinate work functions with fellow workers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in shop conditions and can be in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role.

Salary Range: $21-$24/hour
