Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking an experienced painter to inspect parts, determine the correct paint, and apply coatings in a shop environment. The role includes mixing paints according to TD sheets, preparing surfaces, and using spray guns to finish metals and other substrates.

Applicants should be able to work within a team, manage time effectively, and follow shop paperwork for correct paint selection.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of shop paperwork for paint specification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect details and evaluate the painting work required for the part.
• Establish the correct paint as flowed down by shop paperwork.
• Mix paints as specified by directions or Technical Data Sheets.
• Prepare and perform minor sanding to detail surface before applying paint.
• Paint effectively on different surfaces and metals.
• Ability to use spray gun or perform other paint methods.
• Manage time to complete all delegated work within the specified time.
• Work in a team and coordinate work functions with fellow workers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in shop conditions and can be in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
