Weill Cornell Medicine seeks a Painter to provide maintenance and repair services on architectural finishes. Under direct supervision, provides maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services on architectural finishes.
Approximately 2 years of experience in painting, plastering, and masonry.
If the role requires the use of a WCM vehicle for business purposes, a valid New York State driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
Position requires working in a non-office environment with physical discomforts such as noise, dust, heat, fumes, and other elements; periodic work in animal research areas, machine rooms, crawl spaces, and areas with odors from maintenance products; leaks, dust, dark areas, dampness, restricted access, and noise; frequent use of ladders; work performed indoors and outdoors; ability to grasp, lift, or carry objects weighing a minimum of 50 pounds and push/pull objects up to 100 pounds; use of hand tools, power tools, large wrenches; operation of valves; visual and auditory observation of equipment; walking, standing, climbing ladders/scaffolds, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying.
