Job description

SSI is seeking a hands-on Painter for the 2nd shift at the NY2 location in Delhi who can work independently and/or with others as a production team member with good analytical skills. Candidate must be reliable and flexible with assigned schedule.

Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:

• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with the required procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain and operate powder coat equipment and spray booth as needed.
• Sand, polish, wash, dry and apply powder coat to products specifications.
• Operate ovens and measure/monitor temperatures per product specifications.
• Operate lift trucks and overhead cranes to move paint carts and supplies.
• Weigh paint for accurate costing.
• Become efficient with painting techniques to meet quality and efficiency needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Skills:

• High attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy environment, manage your time and be self-motivated.
• Ability to complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to use and operate power tools, ladders, and warehouse equipment safely.

Experience/Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Hours: Monday – Thursday: 2:30pm to 1:00am.

Starting Rate: $18/hour, the posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
