Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paint Company is seeking a Store Sales Associate to join our US Commercial team. You will deliver an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced retail setting, assisting both retail and contractor customers with product recommendations, color matching, and order support.

The role reports to the Store Manager and emphasizes maintaining a clean, organized store environment while driving sales.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license required; must pass all background checks and physical exam.
• Customer service experience preferred with a team‑focused approach.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers in a professional manner.
• Ability to use a computer and keyboard for order processing and customer support.
• Ability to work scheduled hours as needed, including flexibility based on business needs.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40-60 pounds routinely, including standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Ability to operate a hand truck and/or material handling equipment.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment‑based visa sponsorship (now or in the future).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions.
• Assist retail and contractor customers with product selection, color matching, and order processing.
• Mix, tint, and match paint products according to customer specifications.
• Build knowledge of Pittsburgh Paints Company brands, products, and store processes.
• Process customer orders and payments through phone, in-person, online, and email channels.
• Support sales initiatives and contribute to achieving store sales goals.
• Load, drive, and deliver customer orders via company vehicle.
• Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when needed.
• Safely handle, load, unload, and organize products for stocking and order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Support daily store operations and team priorities as needed.
